Terms and Conditions of Use (T&Cs)
1. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Use (hereinafter the “T&Cs”) are intended to define the terms and conditions under which Mansour Company makes its Niyyah mobile application, a matchmaking platform respecting Islamic principles, available to its users, as well as the conditions under which the User accesses the service.
2. Acceptance of the T&Cs
Registration constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these T&Cs. In the event of refusal, the User may not use the application.
3. Registration Conditions and Access
Registration and consultation of blurred profiles are free of charge. Interactions with other users (likes, unblurring photos, chat, meeting requests) require a paid subscription.
The User declares that they are at least 18 years old, provide accurate information, and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. The User must provide accurate information upon registration and keep it up to date.
The User selects their role (single, intermediary, Trusted Person) and their gender. Registration of a single woman is subject to the designation of a Trusted Person who has accepted this role. The woman may provide or modify her Trusted Person at any time in her settings; however, she cannot accept a chat request until she has designated a Trusted Person. This rule is an essential component of the service and cannot be disabled.
4. User Obligations
The User agrees to comply with applicable laws, the rules of the Muslim religion as applied by the Niyyah application, and these T&Cs. The User undertakes not to publish unlawful, obscene, or immoral content, not to share personal contact details or any means of communication outside the application, and not to use other users’ information for commercial purposes.
The User may block or report another user using the available tools and must report any inappropriate behavior through the reporting features.
The User acknowledges that their exchanges may be moderated and reviewed by the administrator or by the Trusted Person of their female interlocutor.
Non-subscribed users undertake not to circumvent usage restrictions.
5. Matching and Process
Profile photos are blurred by default. A user may express a “like” for a profile. If two users mutually “like” each other, a match occurs and the photos are unblurred.
After a mutual match, either user may send a chat request. A woman may only accept a chat request if she has designated a Trusted Person. If the request is accepted, the messaging feature is activated. The User may block or report their interlocutor at any time.
In the event of a meeting request (“ask to meet”), the Trusted Person’s phone number of the woman is communicated to the man to organize the meeting. The woman guarantees that the Trusted Person has given consent to this sharing and to participating in the meeting.
6. Moderation
Mansour Company reserves the right to remove any content and to suspend or delete the account of any User who violates these T&Cs, the law, or religious rules. Moderation is carried out in accordance with the Moderation Charter attached hereto.
7. Liability
Mansour Company implements the necessary means to ensure the proper functioning of the application but does not guarantee the absence of interruptions or malfunctions.
Mansour Company is not responsible for physical meetings organized between users. The User is solely responsible for their use of the application and for the information they communicate.
8. Termination
The User may delete or deactivate their account at any time. Mansour Company may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a breach of these T&Cs. Account deletion results in the erasure of data, subject to legal retention obligations.
9. Intellectual Property
The trademarks, logos, and content of the application are the exclusive property of Mansour Company. Any unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
10. Governing Law
These T&Cs are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the competent courts of Pontoise shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
